Synopsis:
G.B.S. (Guillain-Barré Syndrome)
Rich and Sam meet up at the airport. They haven't seen each other in years and they have practically nothing in common. But their father is lying in a coma and the least they can do is find out why.
This unique, beautifully crafted two-hander tells the story of two brothers trying to get to the hospital in one piece - a hilarious tale of suburban misadventure.

"If you haven’t thought of coal miners and the sacrifices they and their families make on a daily basis, McManus' UNDERGROUND will take care of that in short order. There is optimism and innocence throughout that makes this a very compelling play"
- Laurie Lawson, Electronticnet.com
"The Clockwork Theatre has produced numerous plays of thought-provoking stories, adding scientific and ethical questions, as well as themes of interpersonal relationships. The ensemble and technical-production staff are fairly consistent and always offer works of the highest caliber that fascinate the audience and provoke it to relate to the characters in their dilemmas and resolutions."

"The Clockwork Theatre has done an exemplary job with a challenging and interesting contemporary play. Those who may have missed Churchill's work the first time around in NYC, and those on the lookout for exceptional acting talent, will want to take in Rohloff's fine performance in this commendable production."
-Martin Denton, NYTheatre.com
"It's pretty ballsy of the Clockwork Theatre to bring back Caryl Churchill's provocative play, A Number...Nonetheless, this young and upwardly mobile theater troupe working out of The Becket Theatre on West 42nd Street's Theatre Row has gambled and won."
